Jack and June Furr Elementary is a part of Prosper Independent School District and located in Mckinney, TX.
A little about Jack and June Furr:
Jack graduated from Prosper in 1946, was a longtime farmer, served on the Farm Bureau Board, and was a Korean War Veteran. Jack valued education and served as a Prosper ISD Board member from 1971-80, acting as Board Secretary from 1977-1980.
June also served Prosper ISD as a teacher for 15 years before retiring and returning as a substitute teacher. June came highly recommended and she was a “sought-after” or 'preferred’ substitute for the district. Just as when she was a full time teacher, she was dependable, responsible, and loved children.
All five of the Furr’s children graduated from Prosper ISD, attending grades 1-12. Two of their children became educators as did three grandchildren.

Meet our Principal
I am honored and humbled to be the principal of this wonderful school. I have been in education for 18 years and all of these years have been served in Prosper ISD, in various leadership positions.
I am an avid learner who loves to read. I enjoy hiking, being outdoors and attending sporting events. I am married and have 3 children---Zach (26), Kelsey (24) and Andrew (22). We have lived in the district for 19 years and I have been blessed with all of my children being educated in PISD.
No matter which leadership position I have held, I firmly believe that all children deserve the best education possible and it is my job to create that safe, nurturing environment for them. It is my wish that all students keep that natural curiosity about life and learn to become lifelong dreamers and learners.
